 CSTA is an industry standard that specifies how computer telephony interfaces should behave. The CSTA Translator enables Inter-Tel converged systems to support specific CSTA-enabled applications. It operates as an NT service and communicates using TCP/IP between the telephone system and the CSTA application(s). The CSTA Translator integrates an Inter-Tel converged system with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database software application in order to maximize telephony features such as screen pops, outbound dialing, etc. By deploying CSTA Translator, your organization will be positioned to offer a high level of customer service when information is at the finger tips of your customer service representatives.
