Intertel Embedded Voice Mail Card (Intertel)

The Embedded Voice Mail Card (EVMC) is an OS/2-based voice processing unit designed for use with the Eclipse platform. EVMC provides high quality voice mail and automated attendant functions for Eclipse systems, including messaging with flexible notification options, group mailboxes, record-a-call functions, automated answering, directory, and flexible answering modes/schedules.

The EVMC installs in the Eclipse Cabinet, sharing the same backplane as the CPU, station, trunk and other interface cards. This provides superior performance and ease of administration. An onboard 2.G hard drive provides 180 hours of storage space, for mailbox configurations of 32, 64 or 200 users,
in either 4- or 8-port configurations.

EVMC provides all features available on the external NT-based Voice Processing Unit with two exceptions: Unified Messaging Software and Fax On Demand are not supported on the EVMC.
